Quiz Competition Organized by the Department of English

Department of English organized an exciting Quiz Competition at 02pm on 20 June 2023 in the Conference Room of the University. The program was chaired by Prof. Dr Mohammad Arshad Ali, the Head of the Department of English and Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.

Dr Md Jahangir Alam, Vice Chancellor, Prime University was present in the program as Chief Guest. Besides, Professor Abdul Jabber Hawlader, Pro-VC of the University was also present in the program. ASM Saadul Quader and Ms. Prova Ummay Afzalean, Assistant Professors of the Department of English acted as the judges of the quiz competition.

The students from different batches of the department participated in the competition spontaneously. The program commenced with the welcome address by Dr. Md. Abdul Awal, Associate Professor of the department.

The Quiz Competition was arranged in three rounds with 08 groups. In the first round, all the groups took part in 04 sessions. The winners of the 04 sessions Group 1, 2, 5 & 8 attended the second round and then winner teams Group 2 & 5 joined in the third round. In final round, Group 2 won the competition and became Champion and Group 5 became runners-up. Ms. Sajma Akter, Rehana Pervin, Md. Shohanur Rahman, Momotaz Akter Samanta and Md. Akibur Rahman were in the Champion Group.
