Course Completion Program held in the Department of Education at Prime University
The course completion program of Department of Education was held on 7th February 2020 at Prime University Conference room. Sixty-one students of 50th batch of BEd and MEd successfully completed their one year program of Education. Md. Ashraf Ali, Chairman, BOT, was the Chief Guest of the session. Mir Shahabuddin, Sr. Vice Chairman, BOT and Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam were the Special Guests. Professor M A Wahab, Head, Department of Education presided over the session. Treasurer Professor Mohammad Arshad Ali, Controller of the Examinations Md Nur Hossain Talukder, Registrar M A Jabber, Professor Mahboob Ul Alam, Md. Ashrafuzzaman, Assistant Professor, Sujit Roy, Lecturer, Nazia Tasnim, Lecturer and Farhana Akhter, Lecturer were also present in the session.
The program started with recitation from the Holy Quran. Then a patriotic song jointly performed by the students of BEd and MEd Programs. Three of MEd students conducted short demonstration class where students showed how to teach with real life examples in a joyful environment using actions. Afterwards, students shared their feelings about one year journey with Prime University and Department of Education.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Jahangir Alam advised to apply the knowledge of BEd and MEd course in their teaching career. Mir Shahabuddin Sr. Vice Chairman, BOT urged the students to implement their theoretical knowledge and techniques in their job field. He also remarked that teachers can ensure quality education by improving their confidence level and teaching skill at classrooms.
The honorable Chief Guest, Md. Ashraf Ali, Chairman, BOT expressed his gratitude to the students and inspired all the faculty members of the department with his motivational speech. He also advised the teacher to get trainings to develop their skills. He also said that, "Training makes a man absolutely perfect." As a farewell token, Assistant Professor Md. Ashrafuzzaman was presented a crest from the Department of Education. Finally, the program ended up with awarding crests and cultural function.
