A Seminar on ‘Good Governance’ Held in Prime University
A seminar entitled, ‘Good Governance’ was
organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Prime
University in the room no. 805 on 11 July 2018 at 10:30 AM. Mir Shahabuddin,
Chairman, Board of Trustees was the keynote speaker of the seminar. The Senior
Vice-Chairman of BOT Md Ashraf Ali graced the session as the Chief Guest.
Professor Dr M Abdus Sobhan, Vice Chancellor of the University chaired the
program.
Professor Dr Abu Saleh Abdun Noor, Dean, Faculty
of Engineering welcomed the guests and participants of the occasion through his
speech of welcome.
The keynote speaker, Mir Shahabuddin presented
the scenario of good governance at a glance over the globe, in different
government and non-government institutions as well as educational sectors of
the country and finally, in Prime University. He inspired the faculty
members to be more serious in their duties and responsibilities which will
automatically turn positive to run good governance in the University.
The chief guest, Md Ashraf Ali in his speech
highlighted the actual need to establish good governance in any institution or
country. He urged the faculty members to give their best efforts to enhance the
quality of the students so that at the end they not only become owner of a
degree but also achieve true education and quality.
There was a long and lively question answer
session where audiences participated spontaneously.
The Chairperson of the seminar, Professor Dr M
Abdus Sobhan in his concluding speech defined good governance as management of
resources in a very effective manner. He requested all to utilize all the
resources in effective ways so that there comes an excellent output of good
governance. He ended the seminar with expressing his gratitude to the keynote
speaker, guests, audiences as well as the organizer of the seminar.
