The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETE) is one of the major contributors towards the achievement of ambitious goal of Prime University in developing skills of human resources in Bangladesh, especially in the fields of Electronics, Telecommunication and Information Technology. The Department design the program in diversified aims to place the students in a highly competitive world of modern technology. The Department started its full function just one year after the inception of the university.
The Communications Group in the Department has a very well established reputation in many areas of communications, particularly mobile and satellite communications.
These courses aim to prepare students to play a leading role in the continuing adventure of modern communications - researching, designing, building and marketing the next generation of products.
The program provides the students an opportunity to obtain a broad knowledge of electronics and telecommunication engineering, electrical engineering and computer engineering also.
Message from the Head of the Department
The advancement of knowledge and remarkable contributions and discoveries in the field of Science and Technology have created an strong urge among young generation to have quality education in an enriched environment congenial to the present needs of our time. In response to the emerging challenges of the new generation of the 21st. century, Prime University came into being with prime mission to cherish and foster national development through creation of knowledge based society by imparting superior quality education , training and achieving higher level of satisfaction in all academic disciplines.
The academic programs of the Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology have been designed to provide the students a comprehensive academic background and knowledge on the fundamental and advanced aspects of computer science, information technology, electronics and semiconductor technology, telecommunication engineering and electrical engineering so that they can face the challenges of the new millennium and meet the needs of market for expertise in these areas.
The programs for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering (ETE), Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) have been devoted to technical fields that fulfill the career aspiration. These technologies will pave the way for immense potential and access to Information Super Highway and open the door to Bangladeshi graduates of brighter prospects.
The Faculties of Engineering and Information Technology of Prime University endeavor to provide its students adequate laboratory facilities in each semester. Each of the undergraduate programs of Faculties are intensively laboratory oriented. We believe that a student cannot learn the subject matter of a course without having any hands-on experience in the laboratory. Keeping this in mind, from the very beginning, the Faculties are trying their utmost sincerity to establish different laboratories and procure sophisticated equipments. Each and every semester we are upgrading our laboratory facilities in parallel with our updated syllabus, improving and increasing our laboratory experiments.
The Faculties academic activities are conducted by a strong team of talented teachers trained at home and abroad. The Faculties are ensuring quality of education in international standard in every step through regular classes, laboratory sessions, workshops, seminars, industry visits and other extracurricular activities. Our graduates are contributing positively for the development of socio-economic condition of Bangladesh and for the welfare of human society as a whole.
